My Homemade Light Box Design

This homemade light box or maybe it should be called a light tent, it does the job well for me.  For the frame you need 1/2 inch pvc plumbing pipe, 6- 19 inch pieces , 2- 24 inch pieces, 4 tee's, 4 pipe caps, 4 street elbows, and pvc glue.

The height and width of the frame works for the 20 X 30 inch foam board, but that can all be changed for whatever your job requires.  The legs are not glued into the elbows, so it will come apart for easier storage.  Wal-Mart sells the boards, and also the colored paper sheets used for base and background.

For the covering I used 2 yards of white cotton fabric, also puchased from Wal-Mart.

The light box shown here in action, using a yellow color background.  For the clamp-on lamps I use 2 chairs to hold them in place, other kind of lamps can be used, these are just two that I had laying around.
