My Metal Bending Tool Designs These tools are certainly a good way of getting into metal bending the cheap way,and they do work good. This homemade scroll bender will do 1/4" X 1" inch flat, and up to 3/8" round. This scroll is made with the bender above. This bender will do 1/8X1 inch flat and 1/4X1/2 inch flat.. This is my so called scroll bender it will do 1/8X1 inch, one thing required is a really hard steel for the center part that has the groove cut into it. A circle bender, but only to 180 degree's that I use to bend the 3/8 inch square rod for the plant stands. This tool will bend the ends of a rod around ,it will do 1/4 square or round. This is made from regular mild steel ,for the bearings I use 4 collars with 2 welded in place and the other 2 holding the heavy wall tubing with 4 adjusting handles for the holding and twisting part of the tool. A view of the twister from the back, the holder will slide along the frame tube, but the adjusting or tightening bolts are missing on the picture. This propane torch will throw a hot blue flame to heat iron that is a little to big to bend by hand. The welding table has 1/4 inch steel plate for the top, and has 1-1/2 X 1/8 inch angle iron legs with a shelf for storage. Comment to: PK Craftsman |
